Tim Wheat grew up in Manito, IL, attending Midwest Central High School where he excelled in sports and academics.  He then attended Bradley University, majoring in Education, and continuing his athletic career as a pitcher on the baseball team.  Wheat inherited a love for music from his parents and during his twenties spent a large amount of time writing, recording, producing, and touring.  He had the opportunity to open for national acts such as: Megadeth, Lamb of God, and Zakk Wylde, and has written more than sixty songs, spanning four full-length albums.

Tim's writing career began with the penning of lyrics for music, along with poetry, but soon moved into more intensive writing.  He started by contributing to hundreds of websites and blogs to hone his skills, but soon this technical type of writing became tedious.  Tim's first delve into literature was as a ghostwriter on the autobiography A Soldier's Fortune,  and a more creative style of writing was what followed.  Wheat next wrote  a number of animated scripts before penning his first novel in 2013.

Patriot TIDE is Tim's latest work and represents a slight departure from his previous novels. Check out the summary here. Rex Chase: A Novel   is the first and The Sentinel is the second in a planned trilogy of books based around the hero Rex Chase.  Along with his friend George Ahiga the two men embark on continent spanning adventures and face diabolical villains.  Wheat has created characters that are easy to identify with and full of life, allowing readers to surrender to the story and go along for the ride.

Tim Wheat is a married father of two energetic young boys and resides in East Peoria, IL.
